Why cats show aggressiveness towards the owner

The aggression of cats is a commonly found problem in the behavior of cats. Most people take the aggression of cats relatively lightly compared to the dogs' aggression because cats are smaller and don't bite. Cats have teeth and four clawed pawns, which she can use as a weapon in worst situations. Bites and severe lacerations of cats are quite painful. Cats can cause scratch fever, which is not quite intense in its intensity but can result in flu symptoms. The cats which are aggressive in their behavior are risky to have at home and pose a severe threat to the owner and guests. 




Symptoms of aggression in cats:-


Aggression can take place in various forms. 


When the cat starts to:


  • Scratch
  • Cats use their primary weapons, i.e., teeth and nails, to show aggression when other tactics don't work. 

  • Bite
  • Growl
  • Claw
  • Hiss
  • Spit

Why do cats exhibit aggressive behavior?  


There are several reasons that cats display an aggressive attitude towards their owners. 


1. Misguided Play:- 

Cats love to play, and it is vital to teaching them what sort of play is acceptable and which is not. Ensure that your cat has many toys and keeps buying new toys, and adding them into old ones will not lead the cats to get bored. 

The cats might get aggressive due to misguided play. 


2. Fear:-


Cats also tend to display aggressive behavior when the fair prevails in their mind.  If the cat is under stress and fear, then it can lead to an attack. Unprovoked and vicious attacks of cats are quite fiery. 


3. Medical issue:-



A medical issue can lead to an exhibition of aggression in cats towards their owners and other people. If your cat is suffering from severe pain, then she will show charge. So, it would help if you visited the veterinarian to get your cat checked. 

The issues mentioned above can easily be tackled by waiting and having patience. 


Miscommunication:-


Sometimes miscommunication can lead to severe biting and scratching. 



4.  Protection of their kids, territory, and their protection:-


Usually, wild animals tend to display aggressive behavior to protect themselves, their offsprings, and territory. 


If the cause of the cat's aggression is known, then the solution can be found out.
